Third Degree Raising - Demonstration
Our regular meeting held on 8th November 2022 was a demonstration of a Third Degree Raising.
It was originally planned to raise Bro. David Claringbold but unfortunately, due to work commitments was unable to attend .
First of all W.Bro. Steve Claringbold was invested by the Worshipful Master as Director of Ceremonies as he was unable to be present at the Installation Meeting.
W. Bro. Simon Drake, a visiting master, then offered his services as candidate and the Worshipful Master, W.Bro. Bill Packer, presided over the Third Degree demonstration.
He was ably assisted in the ceremony by members of the Lodge.
The Working Tools of a Master Mason were presented and explained in a most excellent manner by W. Bro. Jim Watson.
The Traditional History was presented by W.Bro. Steve Claringbold and W.Bro. Kevin Claringbold.
The Worshipful Master and brethren extend their grateful thanks to W. Bro. Simon Drake for stepping into the role of candidate at such short notice.
Once again it was a happy and enjoyable meeting, despite the absences, and all the brethren enjoyed a bumper Festive Board afterwards.
