Lodge Meeting March 2022
On Tuesday 8th March 2022, at the Masonic Temple, Cecil Park, Herne Bay, the bretheren were able to hold their first regular Lodge meeting of the year.
It was well attended by members and visitors to witness the Presentation of the Traditional History to Bro. Andy Claringbold.
Bro. Andy's two brothers, W.Bro. Steve Claringbold and W.Bro. Kevin Claringbold were all prepared to present it.
Before the formalities of the evening began, W.Bro. Steve Claringbold gave a moving eulogy for our dear W.Bro. Ernest "Mac" Miller. He was a highly regarded man and member of the Lodge, and after the eulogy, the brethren stood to honour departed merit.
Unfortunately, on the morning of the meeting, Bro. Andy contracted a virus making him unable to attend.
It was a disappointment to everyone, but especially so for Bro. Andy.
However, Bros. Steve and Kevin went ahead and gave a most excellent demonstration of the presentation.
Bro. Steve told the story with the confidence and presence of a veteran, even though it was the first time he had undertaken this.
Bro. Kevin demonstrated the signs in an equally confident manner.
Everyone agreed that it had been a most enjoyable demonstration.
The Traditional History will have to be presented to Bro. Andy at a later date when he is better.
With all Masonic business being concluded, the Lodge was then closed after which there followed a Festive Board, enabling all to enjoy each other's company again.
